Dublin, Ireland, October 29, 2014 – Higer Bus & Coach, one of the top Coach & bus producers in China, will commence right hand drive sales and distribution in the United Kingdom & Ireland with its Dublin based Distributor “The Harris Group”.

 Higer now supplies Buses & Coaches to over 85 countries and territories including many diverse markets in South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, Eastern Europe the Americas and now Western Europe has been added to the Higer portfolio with the recent addition of Ireland & the United Kingdom.

 As an international manufacturer and developer of buses and coaches, Higer Bus are one of the new emerging stars from the rapidly expanding Coach business that has been steadily increasing within China over the past decade. “Storm 1” by Higer is planned to be followed in early 2015 with the E-series range that will include 12m and 13.6m two and three-axle coaches. There is a possibility of a 24-seater minicoach, CNG, LNG, hybrid and citybus models to follow.

“Higer will be different to other Chinese bus products, as we have given it a European DNA, establishing the coaches’ international status, we want to provide equipment that the market trusts and is familiar with,” adds Mr Haughton.  

This extends from Darlington-built Cummins engines, to Allison transmissions, ZF steering system, Michelin Tyres, Vega 440 seats, European Built Wi-Fi and Thermo king air-conditioning.  Harris Group is appointing a renowned bus glazing company to provide nationwide glazing support in Ireland & the UK.

Significantly, the majority of major component suppliers mentioned are exhibiting alongside the Harris Group stand at Euro Bus Expo.
